2. Improving the victim-oriented approach – a tool enhancing the capacity to fight violence against women and domestic violence

3. Awareness raising and enhancement of the capacity to fight violence against women in Slovakia in line with Council of Europe standards

Programme focus:

The programme objective is “Domestic and gender-based violence prevented and victims protected and assisted”.  The programme shall support projects within the two Programme Areas through pre-defined projects as well as four calls for proposals open to public.

Within the Work-life Balance area the programme shall support the outcome “Understanding of gender equality increased” by way of pre-defined project “HER STORY” and one small grant scheme focused on capacity-building of organisations working in the field of gender equality and work-life balance.

Within the Domestic and Gender-based Violence area the programme shall support the outcome “Victims of domestic and gender-based violence protected and supported” by way of 3 calls for proposals. Call no. 1 will support intervention teams at local level on services for victims of domestic and gender-based violence, including children. Call no. 2 will support the improvement of the quality of the services so that they meet the required standards, including specific services for children victims and the call no. 3 will support the specialisation of services targeted at vulnerable groups, such as victims with addictions, victims of sexual abuse, as well as perpetrators of violence.

Within the Domestic and Gender-based Violence area the programme shall also support the outcome "Response systems to victims of domestic and gender-based violence improved” by way of pre-defined projects “Improving the victim-oriented approach – a tool enhancing the capacity to fight violence against women and domestic violence” and “Awareness raising and enhancement of the capacity to fight violence against women in Slovakia in line with Council of Europe standards”.

There shall be an ambition that shelters and counselling services for victims of domestic and gender-based violence that receive funding under this programme are operational for at least five years after the Programme Operator’s approval of the project completion report.
